I AM NOT A RURAL CARRIER. CAN I STILL POST A TRANSFER AD?
Absolutely. Although this is a branch off site from Ruralinfo.net, I set this up just so ANY postal craft employee can submit a transfer ad. While I do not know the contractual provisions for clerks and city carriers, you are very welcome to add your listing to this website.
WHAT IS A FEATURED AD AND HOW DO I GET MY AD FEATURED?
A Featured Ad gives your ad more exposure. It will be highlighted on the front page so it stands out among the other listings. To feature your listing, click on Post an Ad, fill in the information, follow the prompts and before your ad goes live, you will be able to choose to have your ad featured. It will also show on other pages of the site and in the top navigation. Lots of extra exposure for only $5.00! Get your listing featured today!! You will get a reminder that your listing is about to expire and you will get the option to relist!
DO YOU HAVE ANY TIPS ON MAKING MY LISTING STAND OUT?
I certainly do. Just add information and then add more information. The more information you add to your listing, the better search visibility it has on the site and in the search engines. Here are a few things to include in your listing that would help it stand out! For example:
1. the number of regular routes in the post office.
2. the number of auxiallary routes in the post office.
3. the number of regular routes that have an LLV (long life postal vehicle..
4. the length of shortest route in the office
5. the length of longest route in the office
6. the size of smallest route in the office (example 41H.
7. the size of largest route in the office (example 45K.
8. whether or not the post office has any growth potential for new rural routes.
9. the starting time for the smallest and largest route in the office
MOST IMPORTANT: BE SURE AND ADD YOUR CURRENT LOCATION TO THE MAP. THIS WILL SHOW ON THE FRONT PAGE AND COME UP WHEN SOMEONE USES THE SITE SEARCH! JUST ADD THE CITY AND STATE OF THE POST OFFICE YOU WORK IN! DONT LEAVE IT BLANK.. IF YOU LEAVE IT BLANK MANY PEOPLE WILL JUST SCROLL PAST IT AND NOT EVEN LOOK..

HOW LONG WILL MY AD STAY LISTED?
All NON Featured Ads are listed for 180 days, and there is always an option to relist your ad for another 180 days. Featured Ads are only for 30 days, and there is always an option to relist..
HOW WILL PEOPLE FIND MY AD?
First thing is for you to be as descriptive as you can in your Ad. We also have a search bar that will enable people to search for what they are looking for. Also, this site is very optimized for search engines, so your listing should get good exposure in the major search engines. Once someone finds your listing, there is an option for them to contact you for more information. This will send an email to the email address listed on your account.
